I’m Debbie – smelting queen, witch, beeswax alchemist, and the heart behind Cauldrons Smelt, your magical home for hand-poured beeswax candles and metaphysical treasures.
From my base in beautiful Cockermouth, I craft with love, intention, and energy, sending out creations that carry warmth, light, and a touch of enchantment. While my roots are here in the UK, my work reaches kindred spirits across the globe – just get in touch, and I’ll happily guide you on how to receive a little Cauldrons Smelt magic wherever you are.
Before candles, cauldrons, and crystals called me, I spent 25 years as a fully qualified chef. My career was rich, demanding, and full of flavour, but also long hours, high pressure, and little room to breathe. Just before Covid, my spirit whispered that it was time for change: something healing, balanced, and truly meaningful.
What began as a gentle hobby soon sparked into passion, and that passion became this business. Naming it after Cauldron’s Snout, one of my favourite sacred places, felt natural – it’s my reminder of grounding, inspiration, and the magic of transformation.
For me, Cauldrons Smelt isn’t “just work” – it’s my rebirth. It’s joy, freedom, and pride. It’s proof that following your heart can lead you somewhere beautiful. Each candle I pour and each metaphysical tool I offer carries with it this energy: the energy of a woman who transformed her life through fire, wax, and intention.
I want my creations to be more than objects – I want them to be companions on your spiritual journey.
